Kitchen Manager – Full-Time Position
Location: Café del Sol D’mall of Boracay | Reports to: Operation Manager | Department: Kitchen
Key Responsibilities:
The Kitchen Manager will manage all day-to-day operations of the entire kitchen department, including both pastry/bakery and general kitchen sections. Responsibilities include planning production schedules, developing innovative seasonal offerings, and supervising all kitchen staff and food preparation activities. The role requires specializing in preparing a wide variety of baked goods (cakes, cookies, pies, breads, specialty desserts), creating new exciting desserts, and decorating pastries using various icing techniques. The Kitchen Manager will maintain the highest quality standards through consistent recipes and presentations, ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations, monitor inventory of all kitchen supplies, place orders within budget, and coordinate team activities to foster a collaborative kitchen culture. Additional duties include checking equipment conditions, maintaining cleanliness standards, managing par stock levels with proper product rotation, and reporting all maintenance issues and safety concerns to management.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or Head Pastry Chef
- Strong specialization and expertise in pastry and bakery operations (REQUIRED)
- Expert knowledge of baking techniques, pastry recipes, and dessert creation
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to manage diverse kitchen operations and multiple food preparation areas
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
- Positive attitude with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Must be willing to relocate to Boracay
Work Environment:
The Kitchen Manager will work both indoors and beachfront outdoors, depending on kitchen requirements and special events. The position requires flexibility to work morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts to accommodate restaurant needs.
