Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily purchasing activities and procurement staff.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documents.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments regarding purchasing needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Compare supplier quotations and select the best options based on quality, cost, and service.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budget requirements, and procurement procedures.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, defective items, or supplier performance.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting departments regarding payments and invoices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/inventory management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
