PH To Headline Future Hospitality Summit World 2025

The Philippines is set to be a headliner at the Future Hospitality Summit World 2025, taking place in Dubai, October 27 to 29.

Philippines Sees Growth In Domestic Tourism

The Philippines has seen 3.9 million international visitors arrive in the first 8 months of 2025 (January to August 2025). While international visitor arrival growth has been slower in 2025, with fewer arrivals from China and South Korea than in previous years, there has been a promising increase in arrivals from travelers from Australia, Japan and the USA.

Significant growth within the Domestic Tourism Market however, has delivered a projection of 58.7 million visitors in 2025, this growth trend is expected to continue into 2026.

Inaugural Michelin Restaurant Guide Ceremony Set For October 2025.

The Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026 is set to take place on October 30. The Awards will be held at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Newport World Resorts.

This is the first time that the Philippines will feature in the Michelin Guide for Restaurants, and the event will include:-

  • The Guides restaurant selection for Manila, nearby provinces, and Cebu
  • The Bib Gourmand Selection – restaurants offering high-quality food at a good value.
  • The Michelin Guide Special Awards, recognizing excellence and outstanding industry individuals, and
  • The Michelin Stars.

Restaurant assessments began back in February with ‘inspectors’ using universal criteria like ingredient quality, cooking techniques, harmony of flavors, personality of the cuisine, and consistency to evaluate restaurants.

This won’t be the first time that a Filipino Restaurant appear in the Michelin Guide though. Kasama, in Chicago was the first Filipino restaurant to receive a Michelin star in 2022 and Estrellita, in Atlanta was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand Distinction in 2023.

The ceremony is an invitation-only event but it is expected to be live-streamed on the Michelin Guide Asia YouTube channel.
